A general analysis of the gender situation was presented to the international community during the United Nations (UN) Fourth World Beijing Conference on Women in 1995. This publication is an easy-to-use guide to the Law of the Republic of Armenia on the Human Rights Defender (Ombudsperson). It was prepared due to the successful cooperation between UNDP and the National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia. The publication is a compilation of questions and answers.
Drug Situation in Southern Caucasus
This unique report covers all the three countries in the South Caucasus: Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The analysis conducted in three countries indicated that the number of drug users and drug addicts increased in the region. The problem of drug addiction and drug trafficking acquire increasing importance for socio-economic and political stability of the South Caucasus. This publication is a first attempt for producing regional report on Drug Situation in Southern Caucasus. The introduction of effective and internationally used methods for collecting and analysing drug related information, as well as further enhancement of regional cooperation and coordination is of crucial importance.
